Why should we use essential oils on our feet?

 

1. Essential oils act faster and more efficiently.

The soles of our feet have pores that are much larger than the rest of our body. These pores act like oversized straws, sucking up the healthy nutrients in the oils and quickly feeding them into our bloodstream. By applying oils to the large pores of our foot soles, the oils can pass through the epidermis into our bodies quicker than they would if applied topically to any other part of our body.

2. The skin on our feet is less sensitive.

Our feet are tough! Many people who might experience irritation when applying certain essential oils to different parts of their body often will not have any issues when applying the same oils to their feet. The lower sensitivity and thickness of the skin on your soles can handle stronger essential oils and often even undiluted oils.

3. Reflexology.

According to the ancient practice of reflexology, every nerve line in the body ends in your feet. Certain areas of the feet correspond to our organs, making these areas a direct line to vital parts of the human body. Applying essential oils to our feet in these specific areas, it’s possible that the oils may have a stronger, more beneficial effect than applying oils topically near the organ itself.

Owie- Muscle Relief Blend

3 drops Wintergreen

3 drops Peppermint

1 drop Clove

1 drop Black Pepper

Fill the rest with a carrier oil

 

Tummy- Stomach Pain Blend

3 drops Fennel

2 drops Ginger

1 drop Melaleuca

1 drop Peppermint

Fill the rest with a carrier oil
